happy (st.) patrick's day

Little known fact:

Aaron is Williams biggest fan.

William?

William Patrick.

As in, William Patrick Corgan.

But you probably know him best as Billy Corgan, front man of Smashing Pumpkins. ((they broke up...it was all Iha's fault...and he started up the short-lived group Zwan, and then a solo album that was all tech-y, and then back to Smashing Pumpkins, where he belongs.))

Other little know fact:

Aaron wanted to name our first born son William Patrick. William is a family name, but I drew the line in the sand. A very deep line. My son would not be named after Billy Corgan. ((my love for all things billy had yet to establish itself))

We fought the fight of picking out other names, trying to find one that was unique and eighty million other kids wouldn't have, but couldn't come up with one we really liked.

Aaron finally said, "What about Corgan?"

I thought about it. And I liked it.

And so was born Corgan Livingstone Smith.

Today is William Patrick Corgans birthday!
