random recap of whatever

Corgan's first band concert was about two weeks ago.
His band teacher is really good at his job.
Super high expectations for the students.

This fall, we downsized on the number of kids participating in soccer to just one.
It was Cade's first year playing.
We talked it over with the kids before letting them decide.
We would have had four kids playing soccer. That meant four different practices and games during the week, plus the Saturday games. All of that on top of piano lessons for the older three, Scouts for Corgan, Activity Days for Lily, Aaron tutoring Tuesdays and Thursdays ((he gets home around 9:30pm on those days)), and he also has Mutual on Wednesday nights.
Needless to say, we had a much more relaxed fall than past years.

And I must admit, it was really nice.

Oneil has become addicted to baths.
"Take a tub?" is how he asks.

Blake.

Carly taking a sink bath last Friday night.

Carly watching Cade's last soccer game on Saturday.

I can't even remember why he was so ticked-off.

He turned that frown upside down though.

The mom who made these cupcakes must have worked really hard making sure the green frosting matched their shirts perfectly.

Fall.

Aaron's mom and dad came over late Saturday afternoon. The kids Primary Program was on Sunday.

After church, there was an apple-peel-slice-core-dehydrate party.
We have three trees in our backyard that are overflowing with apples.

Aaron's mom put together the old donut-on-a-string activity for the kids to do.

Once Carly realized that there was food attached to the string, she was all over it.

Just like her mom and dad.

We managed to snag a photo of us all before dinner.
In the picture below, Papa is getting after Cade for strangling Oneil.
Corgan is explaining what happened to his Grandma.

Corgan also was repeating, "cheeeeesey nooooooodle", hence his awesome facial expression.

And guess what?
My sister Lael also came over on Saturday, and stayed through Sunday, to watch the kids performance at church.

She puts up with me.

Here's the prettiest picture of her and Lily.

Most of the time I come to read about the rad things you're doing and to enjoy the photos of your kids, but today I'm in love with your gorgeous kitchen sink and back splash. Seriously jealous here.
