2010 just seems so futuristic.

Like my neighbors should be the Jetsons.

((i know a pretty funny, slightly off-color joke about the Jetsons. but my dad reads this, so i'm going to keep it clean and not share it. sorry.))

I have been thinking about a few resolutions I'd like to throw out there for the tens of people who read this blog.

Some of them are mine, the others are ones I have selflessly come up with for the other members of my family. That way they know what they have to fix.

-Not get pregnant
...thought I was right before Christmas. Yikes! I even took two tests, that's how worried I was about being three days late. I'm like Old Faithful with my monthly visits, but thankfully Aunt Flo showed-up on Christmas Eve and I had a Merry Christmas after all. Was that too much?

-Run two marathons...or one and then a half of one. Got myself some real nice running shoes and inserts for my Himalayan-high arches and some advice from Mark who works at the Road Runner store. I now know what has been causing my injuries and am running fool again.

-Wipe her own bum...I'm tired of doing it.

Which leads into,

-Blake getting out of diapers.

-Read more and watch less t.v....doubtful, but maybe it'll happen. There's just so many funny shows! What's a girl to do?

-Wash clothes and fold them in the same day. It's amazing at how often that doesn't happen. I blame it on having to use a laundromat.

-I really need to drink more water. I hear it's good for you.

-Spend more time doing things with my kids instead of just being with them. Does that make sense? It does in my mind.

-Buy flowers for my wife. I hear she likes them.

Not too fancy of a list.

You may have notice that I didn't put on there "stop biting fingernails". That's because I have recently overcome that habit. I'm now a nail-nibbler.

It's all about baby steps, people.

Good luck with your own resolutions!!

Now, would that be your bum or Lillie's bum? HE HE!!! Had no idea about the Christmas Eve scare, glad that turned out all right. Happy New Year!

I have some of the same resolutions...a four year old who needs to wipe his bum, laundry that stays in the basket for way too long, and I definitely get the doing things with the kids instead of just being with them. It's amazing how you can spend every minute of the day with them and yet at the end of the day realize there wasn't a lot of quality real interactive time WITH them.

Thanks for posting!

I like those resolutions!! I am with you an the laundry thing. I probably end up washing the same clothes over and over again without wearing them, because my clean pile gets mixed up with the not-so clean pile. I blame it on using a laundry mat too :)

I like the list!!! So funny. I have to work on the laundry thing too, and I have a washer and dryer in my home AND there are ONLY 2 of us! Whats my deal?

You're so funny. I have to say, the whole "not get pregnant" thing is top on my to do list. Or I guess, my "NOT to do list" for this year. This baby factory is definitely on hiatus.

Good luck with your resolutions! I stopped setting them for myself years ago because there's never much follow through past, like, Feb. 1. ;-)
